Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the Outback Explorer Lounge with fellow travellers in anticipation of your late-night arrival into the gold-mining township of Kalgoorlie, where you’ll participate in your first Off Train Experience. You can take a behind-the-scenes tour of Adelaide Oval or see the highlights of the city on foot or by coach. Wake this morning to take in the full spectacle of the Blue Mountains on Sydney’s doorstep. After your arrival into Katoomba, select from numerous mountain experiences to explore the World-Heritage listed area. See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the take in the views at Jamison Valley before the culmination of your epic transcontinental crossing. Pulling into Sydney Central Station, you will be transferred to your hotel to check in and make the most of this beautiful harbourside city.

Make your way to the Sydney Opera House for a midday tour*of this oft-photographed venue, giving you insight into the history and architecture of the site. Discover the magic beneath the sails via an immersive digital experience and visit to selected venues and theatres within the centre.

Sydney Harbour is photogenic at any time of day, but as the sun sets and you get that pink glow, it really is something else. And of course, once the sun goes down, the city lights shine bright and you appreciate what a gleaming metropolis Sydney really is. The dinner cruise allows you to see the Harbour from both perspectives, all in sublime comfort and style. Dinner will be three courses paired with a selection of beers, wine, or soft drinks. Port Arthur is your gateway to the wild and scenic Tasman Peninsula. Its wave-lashed coast is the site of spectacular rock formations such as Tasman Arch, the Tessellated Pavement and the Devil’s Kitchen. The peninsula is also home to small farms, superb fruit orchards and acclaimed vineyards.

The Tasman Peninsula is one of the last refuges for the endangered Tasmanian devil. The Tasmania Devil Conservation Park is in the forefront of protecting these unique – if surly and downright disagreeable – remnants of Tasmanian prehistory.

Set on Tasmania’s eastern coast, deep amongst the stunning beauty of Freycinet National Park, Oyster Bay enjoys some of the world’s best climate conditions, with over 300 days of sunshine a year. The bay with is one of three bays defining the narrow Freycinet Peninsula. The pristine waters, fresh air and the abundance of sea life make for perfect oyster farming conditions. (B,L,D)
