Victor Harbor, Goolwa and Mouth of the Murray Adventure

It’s an early morning start today as we head down to Glenelg, driving through the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula – an experience in itself, passing Adelaide’s magnificent southern beaches – one of South Australia’s best kept secrets – and the southern Lofty mountain range, appears as a wave for the back drop – on our sojourn to revel in the splendour that is – Victor Harbor.

The legendary horse drawn tram expects us as we tread our way, unhurriedly over the causeway to Granite Island. Later, a mouth-watering restaurant lunch is waiting for us back at ‘Victor’. Following lunch, the infamous ‘Cockle Train’ to Goolwa is ready to take us on a day out that whispers of an era so long vanished and over way too soon. But the ‘mouth of the Murray River’ summons us and a photographer’s bliss it brings. Image after image – all worthy of ‘that first prize’, this will entice those shutterbugs.

After such an expedition, a refreshing afternoon tea/coffee is in the making for us in Willunga, before our day ends back at your accommodation in Adelaide.
