ADELAIDE PARKLANDS TERMINAL

The Ghan, Indian Pacific, Great Southern and Overland depart from and arrive into this terminal.

Address: Richmond Road Keswick South Australia, 5035 (also known as Keswick Terminal). Terminal access from Richmond Road or Sir Donald Bradman Drive.

Located 3km from the city centre.

ALICE SPRINGS TRAIN STATION

The Ghan departs from and arrives into this station.

Address: George Crescent, Ciccone, Northern Territory, 0870.

Located 2km from the city centre.

  • Thursday: 8:00am – 12:45pm

April – October

  • Monday: 12:00pm – 6:15pm

DARWIN BERRIMAH TERMINAL

The Ghan departs from and arrives into this terminal.

Address: 3 Salloo Street, East Arm, Northern Territory, 0822. From Berrimah Road, pass the Freight Terminal sign, continue on until sign – ‘Rail Passenger Terminal’ turn right into Salloo Street.

Located 17.5km from the city centre.

East Perth Terminal

The Indian Pacific departs from and arrives into this terminal.

Address: West Parade, East Perth, Western Australia, 6004

Located 2.5km from the city centre.

Opening hours:

East Perth Terminal is open daily, servicing regional coach and train services. Journey Beyond staff are only on site to assist guests on train arrival and departure day (Saturday).

Guests can not make bookings at the East Perth Terminal.  Please do not visit this office for bookings or refunds.  Bookings can be made directly with us through this website or by calling 13 21 47.

Melbourne Southern Cross Station

The Overland departs from and arrives into this terminal.

Address: Corner of Collins & Spencer Street, Melbourne, Victoria, 3000

Opening hours: Southern Cross Station is open daily, servicing regional coach and train services. Journey Beyond staff are only on site to assist guests on train arrival and departure days (Mondays and Fridays). An information booth is located at the end of Platform 4, open from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm; please note this is staffed by Transport Victoria, not Journey Beyond.

Check in: The Overland arrives and departs from Platform 2. A Hospitality Attendant will be stationed at the turnstiles from 6:45 am, and passenger check-in is available from 7:00 am, with our staff on Platform 2 ready to assist.

Luggage: Luggage check-in opens at 6:00 am and closes 30 minutes before departure. Please go to the Luggage Hall near Platform 2 and have your ticket or smartphone ready to show your booking confirmation. The Luggage Hall will check in items up to 20 kg. Any items over 20 kg must be taken directly to the train, where our staff will load them into the luggage van. Luggage for guests disembarking at intermediate stations cannot be checked in and must remain with them in the passenger carriages. Non-luggage items, such as bikes, should also be taken directly to the train. For assistance please see our Hospitality Attendants located at the turnstiles.

SYDNEY CENTRAL STATION

The Indian Pacific departs from and arrives into this station.

Address: Sydney Central – City Circle, Sydney, New South Wales, 2000.

Located in 1km from the city centre.

Opening hours: Open daily but times vary; please contact our Team on 13 21 47 for more information.

BRISBANE

The Great Southern arrives at and departs from the Acacia Ridge Freight Terminal. This site is a freight terminal and is not accessible to the public.

Guests departing from Brisbane will receive transfers to the train from Hanworth House following a welcome experience. Guests arriving in Brisbane will receive complimentary transfers to the Brisbane CBD from a selection of central drop‑off locations.
