Your friendly guide will help you get acquainted with the sights, smells, sounds and colourful characters of bustling market life as you weave your way through the aisles lined with specialty stalls. Adelaide is the site of many government and financial institutions, most of which are concentrated in the city centre along the cultural boulevards of North Terrace.

Your guide will point out highlights including Parliament and Government houses, Sir Donald Bradman statue, War Memorial, Old Police Barracks and Armoury, Migration Museum, Adelaide Oval and St Peter’s Cathedral.

After working up an appetite, finish your walk at the historic Adelaide Oval where you will enjoy a light, continental breakfast, before you return to the Indian Pacific to continue your journey.*

Adelaide Hills Scenic Drive

Leafy green trees wrap around the streets of the Adelaide Hills, and the colours change as the seasons evolve. The Hills, as it’s colloquially known, is the place for wildlife encounters, nature walks, beautiful botanic gardens and wine.
Spend your morning in the beautiful Adelaide Hills and embark on a scenic coach drive through Crafers, a small township on the south-eastern edge of Greater Adelaide. Learn about the Adelaide Hills as you make your way up to the Summit Café, 710 metres above sea level and Adelaide’s highest peak.
Upon arrival, you’ll have the option to indulge with a glass of sparkling wine as you take in the stunning sweeping views of Adelaide. Tea and coffee will also be available for those who need a hit of caffeine in the morning. Here you will enjoy breakfast, replete with premium SA produce, before heading back to Adelaide to reboard the Indian Pacific.
