After disembarking in Two Wells, enjoy a scenic coach ride to one of the world’s premier wine regions, the Barossa Valley. The cool summers and rainy winters are perfectly suited to red wine production, with Shiraz and richly flavoured Cabernet the stand-outs.

Arrive and Seppeltsfield Winery and enjoy an interactive tour of the Jam Factory and the amazing Vasse Virgin before joining an immersive wine and food pairing. A sumptuous dinner awaits on site before being transferred to the Indian Pacific by coach to continue your Journey.

MCLAREN VALE WINERY EXPERIENCE

Known as the place where the ‘vines meet the sea’, beautiful McLaren Vale is within easy reach of Adelaide and full of culinary surprises. A famous and prolific wine growing region set along 30 kilometres of stunning coastline and ridges, McLaren Vale is also known for the warmth and friendliness of the locals who are always willing to share the secrets of the delicious wines produced here.

You’ll enjoy a wonderful cellar door experience at Coriole Vineyards, founded by Hugh and Molly Lloyd in 1967. The estate is located among the rolling hills, and features Shiraz vines planted immediately after the end of the First World War.

Sample reserve wines while taking in the lush vistas toward the Fleurieu Bight. Your wine tasting experience is accompanied by Coriole’s own olives, and a selection of sophisticated Woodside artisan cow and goat’s milk cheeses. With your palate warmed up by the cellar door session, head to the Star of Greece restaurant for more amazing views of Gulf St Vincent and a sumptuous meal accompanied by regional produce and those signature McLaren Vale wines.

Hahndorf

The stunning Adelaide Hills region is known for its exceptional cool climate wines, thanks to warm days and cool nights during spring and summer, and the region’s mouth-watering, high-quality produce which provides visitors with a memorable gastronomic experience.

Hahndorf is classified as Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement and has a unique ‘village feel’ about it. The Main Street is lined with eateries, souvenir and gift shops, clothing and leather goods, craft outlets and galleries. Leaving Adelaide by coach you will reach your destination in 40 minutes, while enjoying driver commentary along the way. On arrival into Hahndorf, you will be introduced to cheese in all its forms at Udder Delights – which includes tastings accompanied by local Apply or Pear Adelaide Hills Cider.

After enjoying your chosen gastronomical delight, stroll down the road to The Haus, a German restaurant showcasing the best in local produce. Here you will be entertained as you enjoy a German inspired Bavarian dinner before returning to the Indian Pacific for your journey onwards through the night.
