The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has advised Journey Beyond of significant rail infrastructure damage across multiple sections of the Indian Pacific line following recent severe weather.
As a result of ongoing track closures for repairs, the diverted rail path through Victoria is experiencing extreme congestion and prioritising essential freight only between capital cities impacted by this flooding event. Unfortunately, this means the following journeys have been impacted:
Our team will be communicating with impacted guests over the coming days. We remain in regular communication with ARTC regarding track repair progress and reopening timelines. Should there be any changes, we will advise guests accordingly.
For guests travelling on the Indian Pacific beyond the dates listed above, we will provide updates should your rail journey be affected.
